Metrics Explorer Search Does Not Auto-Expand Results in VCF Operations 9.0.2

Issue/Introduction

In VCF Operations version 9.0.2, the search mechanism within the Metrics Explorer does not function as expected. When users search for specific metrics, the metrics tree does not automatically expand to reveal the matching results. This impacts usability, as users are unable to immediately view where the matched metrics reside within the hierarchy.

Cause

This is a known issue in VCF Operations 9.0.2 affecting the auto-expand functionality of the metrics tree. While the search logic correctly identifies matching metrics, the interface does not automatically expand the tree structure to display them.

Resolution

This issue with Metrics Explorer part of the UI is known to us. Currently, there is no fix within version 9.0.2 and is planned to be resolved in a future release of VCF Operations 9.1.x.

 

Workaround:

In case a user/admin typically searches for the same metrics over and over, create a metric "Group" and drag favorite metrics into that group. That would make those metrics easier to find in the short-term.
