Why is SDServer is crashing in R14 when the customer is sending jobs to Pre-Registered machines ?

Issue/Introduction

Question:

Why is SDServer crashing in R14 when the customer is sending jobs to Pre-Registered machines ?

 

Environment:                                         

CA Client Automaton - R14 only 

 

 Answer:

In R14, due to changes in the code to allow UPM updates to work, they disabled the check that did not allow you to send Software Delivery jobs to agents with the SDStatus of Preregistered. Due to this when SDServer goes to send process that request it cannot send to that agent and it crashes.

 

There is a Public Fix that is available for this problem:  RO90819
