Issue/Introduction

Issue:

When run the command CORACLEANUP, the following error or a similar message appears, and it fails. 

\bin\java -cp .\corajava.jar;.\corautil.jar;.\log4j-1.2.15.jar;.\ojdbc6.jar;.\sqljdbc4.jar com.ca.Cora.util.ConsoleManager -h
The system cannot find the path specified.

 

Environment:

Windows

 

Cause:

The JAVA_HOME System Environment Variable has not been set. 

 

Resolution:

You need to set JAVA_HOME System Environment Variable on Windows to point to the JRE folder as shown below.

  1. Open "System" from Windows Control Panel and click "Advanced System Settings".

  2. Open [Advanced] tab and click on <Environment Variables...> button.

  3. Click <New> under 'System variables'.

  4. Type 'Variable Name' and 'Variable Value'. 

    Variable Name: JAVA_HOME
    Variable Value: (JRE folder path) e.g. Service Desk Manager r14.1 default folder could be "C:\Progra~2\CA\SC\JRE\1.7.0_10".

  5. Restart the Operating System for the change to take effect.
