Error EKBE003 from PowerPath

Issue/Introduction

After making configuration changes to the storage, the following event was reported by vCenter.

Issue detected on <ESXi host name> in <Datacenter name>: PowerPath:EKBE003: Path vmhba#:C0:T0:L### : could not issue sync IO command: No connection (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS.###Z cpu##:#######)

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi
Dell PowerPath

Cause

This is an event generated by PowerPath installed on the ESXi host, and requires investigation by the storage vendor.

Resolution

Refer to PowerPath  Common Error Code Reference Guide for the meaning of the error code and consult your storage vendor for required action.
