Is it necessary to deploy a vCenter Server when using VMware Aria Operations to monitor ESXi hosts?
Can I register a standalone ESXi host as a cloud account from Aria Operations without using a vCenter Server?

VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x

Resolution

To monitor a vSphere environment using Aria Operations, you must have a vCenter Server installed. ESXi cannot be registered as a cloud account.
