Unable to log in Topology with default user

Issue/Introduction

When trying to log in to Topology with the default user the screen just blinks and returns to same prompt.

The Topology API server joblog shows the following message:

http-nio-ppppp-exec-9~ ERROR com.ca.topology.api.auth.AuthProxyController - URI does not specify a valid host name:http://:ppppp/api/v1/auth/login
 org.apache.http.client.ClientProtocolException: URI does not specify a valid host name: http://:ppppp/api/v1/auth/login

Cause

The parameter TOPOLOGY_HOSTNAME is not set in the TPLSCONF file.

Resolution

Add or update the following parameter in the TPLSCONF file:

TOPOLOGY_HOSTNAME=hostname-where-topology-running
