Issue/Introduction

On MUX when a published report (from Reporting Workspace) is included as a Navigation Menu Item, this menu item is not being visible the to end users, even when those users have been granted `Reporting - Report Viewer - View` instance access to the specific report

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Using an Administration user account, in the Reporting Workspace identify a published available report
  2. In modern ux, navigate to Administration >> System Settings >> Navigation Menu
  3. Click on the Add Page button under the label: Configure Main Navigation Menu
  4. Add the published available report as identified on Step 1, ensure that the Show checkbox is enabled and choose an Icon
  5. Ensure that the above created Navigation Menu Item is visible on the modern ux Navigation menu
  6. Identify a non-admin user, from Classic UI provide instance access: Reporting - Report Viewer - View , choosed the Report as identified on Step 1
  7. Provide the following global rights to this non-admin user: "Reporting - Available Reports - Navigate", " Reporting - Navigate" and " Reporting - Reports - Navigate"
  8. Impersonate as this non-admin user

Expected Results :-

The Navigation menu Item pertaining to the published available report is visible and the report can be opened

Actual Results :-

The Navigation menu Item related to the published report is not visible to the non-admin user

Environment

Clarity PPM 16.4.1 and below

Cause

DE183748

Resolution

This is fixed in Clarity 16.4.2

Workaround:

The present workaround is to add the following global access right: Reporting - Report Designer - Navigate , to the end - user profile. Once this additional global access right is provided the Navigation Menu Item shall be visible for the end - users.
