Landscape fails to switch back to primary SpectroServer after IP change

Issue/Introduction

The SpectroServer IP's were changed last week.  The SpectroServer landscape remains on the secondary server and will not fail back to the primary after an ungraceful restart and database restoration․․․․

ERROR MESSAGE:
"Landscape Service Type Name Hostname Port Precedence Notes ... 0x3000000 Landscape Default ... xxxxxxxx... 10 ... xxxxxxxx... 20"

Dx NetOps Spectrum any version

Cause

The issue was caused by incorrect entries in the /etc/hosts file following a server IP change. This prevented OneClick and the Location Server from properly identifying and connecting to the primary SpectroServer.

Resolution

Correct the hosts files on the SpectroServers and OneClick automatically connected as it should
