Issue/Introduction

Attempt to access the SDDC manager under the VCF Instance from the VCF Operation shows the following:

This capacilty is not applicable for this version. Upgrade to appropiate version for management capabilites



Attempting to validate the connection for the VCF adapter instance fails with the error."API returned with unexpected status code 500"

In /storage/log/vcops/logs/adapters/VcfAdapter/VcfAdapter_##.log on the managing the VCF adapter,  you see entries similar errors to:

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0.x

Cause

The issue occurs when the VCF adapter collection for the SDDC is in a warning state

Resolution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. From the left menu, click Administration > Integrations > Expand VMware Cloud Foundation Adapter.
2. Click on the account that shows Collections 'Warning'
3. Click Edit and update the credentials.
4. Click Validate Connection and wait for the test connection to complete. If successful, save the adapter configurations.
5. Click the Vertical Ellipses of the affected VCF Adapter and select Start Collecting All to start data collection.
6. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to complete the data collection.
7. Check the Adapter collection state, which should be "Ok".
8. Verify that the SDDC is accessible through "Fleet Management > Lifecycle >VCF instances
