Virtual machine restoration by Arcserve UDP fails frequently

Issue/Introduction

Some virtual machines frequently fail during restoration by Arcserve UDP. 
The virtual machines were backed up by Arcserve UDP Agentless Backup. 

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi
Arcserve UDP

Cause

This issue is caused by network instability between the Arcserve server and the ESXi hosts.

e.g. 
Frequent link flapping on the network route between the Arcserve server and the ESXi hosts interrupts and terminates the Network File Copy (NFC) data transfer for the virtual machine restoration.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, investigate and remediate the network configuration or physical hardware issue that causes the link flapping between the Arcserve server and the ESXi hosts.
Stable network connections will avoid the NFC data transfer failure and enable the virtual machines to be restored successfully.
