[VMC] Regenerate VMware Cloud on AWS API Tokens and OAuth Apps before March 31, 2026

Issue/Introduction

  • API Tokens and OAuth Apps created in the legacy VMware Cloud Console before October 7, 2025 must be deleted and recreated by March 31, 2026 due to the migration to the Broadcom Cloud Console. Tokens not regenerated will expire and stop working after this date.
  • Impact: Any scripts, automation workflows, or integrations using these older credentials may fail after March 31, 2026.
  • Details:-
    • Tokens/OAuth Apps created before October 7, 2025 Must be regenerated
    • Tokens/OAuth Apps created after October 7, 2025Unaffected and remain valid based on TTL

Resolution

  • Steps to review API Tokens and OAuth Apps:-
    1. Log in to https://console.cloud.broadcom.com
    2. Go to IAM → Governance
    3. Review:
      • API Tokens
      • OAuth Apps
  • Regeneration Requirements:-
    • API Tokens: Must be regenerated by the user who created them
    • OAuth Apps: Can be regenerated by an Org Owner
  • Action Required:-
    • Delete and recreate affected tokens or OAuth apps created in the legacy VMware Cloud Console before October 7, 2025.
    • Update any scripts or automation that use the the old/affected tokens or OAuth apps with the recreated ones before March 31, 2026.
    • For any additional questions or issues, raise a support ticket with VMC on AWS team (Get Support) or contact your account team.
