Issue/Introduction

On RHEL platform, Symantec Risk Authentication Data Upload tool (arrfupload) to upload Quova data fails with the following fatal error:

./arrfupload: error while loading shared libraries:libnamevalxref.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Environment

Component: CA Advanced Authentication (CA Risk Authentication)
Release: 9.1.xx (Applicable to all the supported releases)
Operating System: RHEL

Cause

The Risk Authentication " arrfupload " utility needs the shared object file named " libnamevalxref.so " for correct processing of Quova data. This error comes when the ARCOT_HOME environment variable is not set.

Resolution

The proper processing of arrfupload utility requires that certain environment variables are set before execution of arrfupload.

There are two ways to create the environment variables before executing arrfupload utility.

  1. Source the CA provided file called arrfenv (provided in the <ARCOT_HOME>\sbin directory) to set the required environment variables.

    OR

  2. Execute arrfenv file via command - " . <ARCOT_HOME>\sbin\arrfenv " (Note that after the ‘.’ (dot) there is a space in the command and double quotes are not required).
