Issue/Introduction

You have tried to save the DCS Intrusion Prevention policy that includes the large arguments parameter, but you receive an exception below.

Error Code: 300

SQL Code: 2628

String or binary data would be truncated in table 'SCSPDB.dbo.OPTIONSETTING', column 'OPTARGUMENTS'. Truncated value

Environment

DCS 6.9.3

Cause

This is a known issue in DCS 6.9.3.423 and earlier, and it is related to the 1024-character limit on the arguments parameter.   

Resolution

Please contact Technical Support to request the SCSPDB database script to address this limitation.
