VM Apps automation adapter collection failure in VCF Operations

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting to validate the connection for the VCF Automation for VM Apps adapter, the validation fails and data collection does not occur.
• The following error is presented in the UI;

  • Error trying to establish connection

• The automation adapter logs, 'CASAdapter_####.log',found at '/storage/vcops/logs/adapters/CASAdapter', may contain the following error;

  • token failed with Status Code: 400 Message: Invalid refresh token.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Required Rotation option is enabled on the service account used for the integration.

Resolution

Reconfigure the service account in use for the adapter to disable 'Require rotation', specifically stated in the documentation below, in step 4b;

• Create a Service Account and Get a Refresh Token in VCF Automation for VM Apps
