SSM commands routed to remote systems may get "NO RESPONSE RECEIVED FROM THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS"

Issue/Introduction

When SSM commands (supported by the SSMCNTL rule) are routed to remote system using the z/OS ROUTE command like the below:

RO *ALL,SSM DISPLAY JOB=jobname

The following response can be received:

IEE421I RO *ALL,SSM DISPLAY JOB=jobname
NO RESPONSE RECEIVED FROM THE FOLLOWING SYSTEM(S):
SSSS
