Question:

How do you disable the Health Monitoring Agent ?

 

Environment: 

CA Client Automation - All Versions

                                 

Answer:

There are 2 ways to disable it, depending on what Operating System you are running it on:

  

Windows:

Run the following commands to disable HMAgent:  

Hmagent stop                                     Will change the State from Running to Stopped

sc config hmagent start= disabled       Will change the Properties to Disabled and stop the Service.

Linux/UNIX/AIX/HP:

 

Run the following commands to stop HMAgent on Linux:

 

opt/CA/DSM/caf/bin/hmagent stop

Mv /opt/CA/DSM/caf/bin/hmagent /opt/CA/DSM/caf/bin/hmagent.old
