Discovery fails to discover SNMP devices; Devices appear as pingable models.

Issue/Introduction

When running a Discovery profile for a specific list of devices, the system identifies them only as pingable nodes rather than full SNMP devices.

Creating the devices using Model By IP successfully creates the devices as SNMP devices.

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum: All Versions

Cause

The Agent Port was removed from the Advanced Options Agent Port setting.

Resolution

1. Bring up the Discovery Configuration
2. Click on the Advanced Options.
3. Add the Discovery Port (161) to the Agent Port setting.
4. Re-run the discovery.
