Issue/Introduction

We have developed some query based reports. When using filters the lookup fields do not display as a list of drop-down values by raw codes. Can we configure this somehow so fields are displayed as drop-down list of values?

Resolution

Starting 16.4.1 you can associate lookups to queries and those would display the data as lookups:

In previous releases, filtering query attributes that stored coded values often required users to work with internal codes rather than business-friendly labels. In Clarity 16.4.1, you can now associate lookups directly with data provider query attributes to improve filtering usability.

This enhancement ensures that filters display meaningful lookup values while maintaining consistent behavior across reports that use the same data provider.

• Lookup association: Associate a lookup with a query attribute when configuring the data provider.
• User-friendly filtering: Filters display lookup values instead of raw codes, making it easier for users to select the correct filter criteria.
