Issue/Introduction

Adding a trim point from the Gantt chart view of a CA7 or Autosys jobstream fails to add the job to the edit jobstream dialog box․​​​‌​‍

 

 

SYMPTOMS:

• Clicking the action menu next to a job and selecting Add a Trim Point does not display the job

   

• Saving the jobstream applies no trimming

   

   

CONTEXT: Occurs when attempting to add a trim point from the Gantt view

 

 

IMPACT: Creates more time spent on jobstream administration

Environment

AAI 24.3 and earlier

Cause

Product defect DE176798 prevents adding Trim points from the action menu of a job in the Jobstream Tree on the Gantt view․

Resolution

1․ UPGRADE TO RESOLVED VERSION

Action: Download and install release 24․4․0 from the Broadcom Download Portal

 

EXPECTED: The Gantt view menu option correctly adds trim points NOTE: See Additional Information for critical database and migration notes

 

WORKAROUND: Manually add the trim point while the edit jobstream window is open

 

VERIFY SUCCESS:

• Open a Gantt chart of a jobstream

   

• Select Add Trim Point from a job action menu

   

• Verify the job appears in the edit dialog box
