Issue/Introduction

During upgrading VMware Cloud Foundation Operations (formerly vROps) to 9.0.2 , the vROPS 9.0.2 upgrade binaries is invisible from VCF Management after uploaded.

Environment

Cause

Failed to upload VMware Cloud Foundation Operations 9.x binaries to Fleet Management

Resolution

Transfer Binaries to Fleet Management

  1. Using a file transfer tool (e.g., WinSCP), connect to the Fleet Management appliance.
  2. Upload the downloaded binaries from your jump host to the following directory on the appliance:
    • Path: /data

Configure Offline Depot in Fleet Management UI

  1. Log in to the Fleet Management UI.
  2. Navigate to Lifecycle > VCF Management > Depot Configuration.
  3. If the current setting is "Online Depot," change it to Offline Depot.

  4. Set the Source to Local Path.
  5. In the Path field, enter: /data (or the specific subdirectory where the binaries were placed).
  6. Navigate to the Upgrade Binaries section in VCF Mangement
  7. You should now see the VMware Cloud Foundation Operations target version listed.
