Clarity /maintenance folder after upgrade

Issue/Introduction

Before upgrade Clarity directory structure from our environment contained directory called $clarity/maintenance.

Once upgraded, Clarity $clarity directory does not contain this folder. Is this expected? 

Example : Upgrade from 16.2.3.1 to 16.3.3

Environment

Any Supported Clarity Release

Resolution

• The /maintenance folder is added when you are applying patches
• All patched releases will have this folder
• All base releases with no patches will not have this folder
  • You were on a patched release 16.2.3.1 (16.2.3 patch 1) and now on 16.3.3 (base) so this is expected.
• Once you apply patch the maintenance folder will be created
• We do recommend you always apply the latest patch to make sure you avoid any important known issues.
