Odata service user - unable to authenticate in Power BI after password reset

Issue/Introduction

As per our system configuration, passwords expire every 90 days for users logging in using ID and password. I reset the password for the OData user we use for connecting to Power BI, username"OData" Since than we are unable to authenticate Power BI reports using these new passwords. 

Resolution

  1. Navigate to User Settings: Log in as an administrator and go to Administration > Organization and Access > Resources.
  2. Select User: Find and select the specific user account. (Odata User)
  3. Open the user's properties and look for the option to set the "Force Password Change" flag (make sure its uncheck)
  4. Click Save: Once this flag is unchecked and saved, the user can then test the Power BI login.
