VCF 9.0 UI shows alert that reads "License check failed for the products in this domain. Cannot connect to vCenter Server or host"

Issue/Introduction

VCF 9.0 UI shows banner alert against the Workload Domain. To read the alert, Click on Inventory > Workload Domain > Select the Domain Name > Summary tab.

 

 

Environment

VCF 9.0

Cause

Stale entries of ESX host or cluster names shall cause SDDC manager to report about license validation failure.

Resolution

This requires validation of stale ESX hosts and SDDC database edits. Database edits are destructive in nature, raise a Broadcom Support Case to seek further assistance.

Note: It shall be helpful if following details are included in the Support Case, so that the issue can be validated and reference stale entries.
