The "Display Type" Column
- The Display Type field is used to manage how data is rendered (e.g., as a simple value or a range). If an attribute does not have Display Mappings defined in Classic Studio, the Display Type will remain read-only in the Modern UX grid. This field can only be modified for inherited attributes on abstract objects.
- Compare the behavior of the Risk and Risk Score (Investment) attributes to see how the display type toggles based on configuration.
Identifying Lookups and Metadata
- The Modern UX Attributes screen is not a 1:1 replica of the Classic UI Studio.
- v16.2.2 and older: Information regarding specific lookup associations is not available in the Modern UX. Users must refer to Classic UI Studio > Objects > Attributes to validate the associated lookup name.
- v16.3.2: Starting in version 16.3.2, Broadcom introduced the Extended Data Type column. This column acts as a standard attribute that allows administrators to identify if a field is associated to a lookup.
The Modern UX screen is primarily intended for viewing system attributes by object type, implementing Field Level Security, and managing UI-specific details like Labels and Tooltips found in the columns flyout.
