Issue/Introduction

This article explains how to create a vCLS VM under the following conditions.

Status:
- Three vCLS VM remain on the unresponsive ESXi host.
- vCLS is version 1.0.
- The ESXi host cannot be powered on.

Environment

VMware ESXi

VMware vCenter

Cause

The cause is that three vCLS VM are registered in a state where they cannot connect to an ESXi host with vCLS version 1.0 that is not responding.

Resolution

Workaround
Remove the ESXi host (not responding) that has the disconnected vCLS VM registered from the vSphere Client inventory.
