Issue/Introduction

The Update Now button appears greyed out for AutoSys and CA7 schedulers even when they are set to Online․​​​​‌​‍

ERROR MESSAGE: "[SafeContext] Permission [Deny] by policy[null] for Identity[<UserName>], Action[download], Res"

SYMPTOMS:

  • Update Now button is inactive or greyed out

  • Schedulers show as Online

  • Error appears in jaws․log

CONTEXT: Occurs when logged in with an EEM user account․

IMPACT: Users cannot update schedulers manually․

Cause

EEM use does not have the Scheduler -> Download policy enabled

Resolution

Workaround

  • Log in with JAWS admin account which has full permissions

Solution for EEM user

1. Login to EEM under the AAI application.

Work with your EEM administrator if you do not have admin access in EEM.

2. Go to Manage Access Policies

3. Click on Schedulers

4. Ensure the user or group affected has the "Update" box checked.

5. Save the policy and login back into AAI with that EEM user and verify you can now click the "Update Now" button.
