Issue/Introduction

Can UIM monitor HPE Alletra MP systems? 

Resolution

There is no official UIM probe dedicated to monitoring HPE Alletra MP B10000 storages listed in the standard UIM probe support matrix.

However, there are some alternative ways you could monitor HPE system in UIM: 

Use generic methods (SNMP  / REST):

If the underlying storage platform exposes performance statistics via SNMP or standard OS counters, UIM probes like snmpcollector, snmptd, snmpget, restmon can monitor the desired metrics

This doesn’t provide the same deep storage-stack insight as a dedicated API probe (like HP-3par), but gives basic availability and resource metrics.
