Issue/Introduction

Creating a cluster using an NFS datastore fails with the following message:
message: Failed to skip failed ESXi hosts esxhost1.example.com
cause: Cannot skip 1 ESXi Host(s) ([esxhost1.example.com]) as only 1 ESXi host(s) would remain and the minimum is 3

The following log is output to domainmanger.log:
####-##-##T##:##:##.### ERROR [vcf_dm,###,###] [c.v.v.c.f.p.a.i.ValidateHostNfsDatastoreAction,dm-exec-14]  Provided NFS network gateway has no connectivity with NFS server.Validating without vmknic specification.

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0

Cause

The cause is inaccessible to the NFS network gateway.

Resolution

Check the NFS network configuration, such as the gateway settings, for problems.
