Issue/Introduction

While performing a Test Validation on the vSphere integration within Aria Operations for Logs, the certificate trust popup window enters an infinite loop. You are unable to save the integration, and the user interface displays the following error:

SSL certificate is not trusted

Environment

Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

Cause

The issue is caused by stale or duplicate vCenter SSL certificates residing in the internal certificate repository. Even if these certificates have not expired, their presence creates a validation conflict that prevents the UI from successfully trusting and saving the new certificate.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must remove the old vCenter certificates from the trust store to allow the new certificate to be properly validated.

  1. Log in to the Aria Operations for Logs appliance with administrative privileges.
  2. Navigate Management > Certificate section of the UI.
  3. Locate the list of trusted certificates and identify any older or duplicate entries associated with the vCenter Server.
  4. Delete the stale vCenter certificates.
  5. Attempt the vSphere Integration setup again.
  6. When the SSL certificate popup appears, click Accept.
  7. Confirm that the Test Validation completes successfully and save the integration.
