Duplicate Storage Profile Identifiers Causing Issues with Zerto Backup and Replication

Issue/Introduction

When using third-party backup or replication solutions like Zerto, the system may fail to retrieve storage policy information.

Upon reviewing the Zerto logs, you will see an error similar to the following, indicating that a duplicate identifier was returned:

VCDStorageProfilesCollector,CollectAsync,Updating Reflection of Storage Profile [ID=<STORAGE_PROFILE_NAME>]. The same identifier returned twice from the environment.

Cause

This issue is caused by a misconfiguration within the Zerto application itself. Specifically, the required storage policies are missing from the Zerto configuration settings.

Resolution

Because this is a configuration issue within the third-party software, please engage Zerto Technical Support directly for assistance with correctly mapping or adding the missing storage policies in their application.
