Receiving LCMVRLICONFIG40038 when deploying or scaling out VCF Operations for Logs

Issue/Introduction

When deploying VCF Operations for Logs 9.x using VCF Fleet Management you may receive an error on stage 3 similar to:

LCMVRLICONFIG40038 Operations-logs pre-validation failed.

The /var/log/vrlcm/vmware_vrlcm.log may contain certificate validation check failure messages.

Stage 3 of the deployment is when the certificate is validated, this includes DNS verification of all the new nodes.

VCF Operations 9.x

Resolution

SSH to the VCF Fleet Management appliance and using nslookup verify DNS of all the VCF Operations for Logs nodes is correct.
