Issue/Introduction

In the Spectrum console, under the Interface Configuration Table, high-speed interfaces exceeding 4․29 Gbps display a fixed and incorrect value of 4․29 Gb/s ․‌‍ This issue affects interfaces configured to 40 Gbps and Port-Channels of 80 Gbps

SYMPTOMS:

  • High-speed interfaces show an incorrect bandwidth value

  • The displayed value is capped at exactly 4․29 Gb/s

CONTEXT: Viewing the Interface Configuration Table within the Spectrum console

IMPACT: Administrators cannot accurately monitor bandwidth for high-speed network interfaces

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum: 25.4.6 or lower

Cause

The table previously used the ifSpeed MIB2 attribute, which is a 32-bit gauge with a maximum value of 4,294,967,295 (approximately 4․29 Gbps) Engineering implemented the 64-bit ifHighSpeed attribute and created a new renderer to handle the different value scaling

Resolution

DX NetOps environment upgraded to release 25․4․7 (April release)

Additional Information

We are planning to hide the "IfHighSpeed" column by default. Customers will have the option to unhide it whenever they choose via the column selection settings.

We are planning to push the changes for the upcoming April release.
