Unable to upgrade Aria Operations 8.18.6 to VCF Operations 9.0, 9.0.1 or 9.0.2 from Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to upgrade Aria Operations 8.18.6 to VCF Operations 9.x via LCM the product version to start the upgrade does not get populated in the LCM admin UI

 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.6
Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.0 Patch 7
VCF Operations 9.0.0.0
VCF Operations 9.0.1.0
VCF Operations 9.0.2.0

Cause

An upgrade from VMware Aria Operations 8.18.6 to VCF 9.0.0.0, 9.0.1.0, or 9.0.2.0 is not permitted.

Resolution

Broadcom is aware of this scenario and is planning to address this in a future version of VCF Operations and Aria Suite Lifecycle.

There is not a version of 9.0.x that will support an upgrade from 8.18.6.
