Issue/Introduction

• After updating the Public Address URL at "Administration > Settings > Public Addresses" access to Cloud Director(VCD) UI is lost.
• The following error is displayed:
  
  Failed to Start. An error was encountered during initialization. This can be caused by issues such as accessing the application via an unsupported public URL or poor connectivity.
  
  
• Not able to change Public Addresses.
• Access to VCD is restored if you bypass the loadbalancer.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.1

Cause

This issue can occur due to misconfiguration on the loadbalancer which is in front of the VCD cells.

Resolution

To resolve this issue engage your local loadbalancer team and investigate the configuration of loadbalancer.
