Getting HTTP 401 error while trying Clarity REST APIs

Issue/Introduction

• Modern UX is newly enabled
• Upon using the Clarity REST APIs, or when navigating to the Modern UX, an HTTP 401 response is obtained.

Cause

• Headers getting manipulated by a third-party software that sits between the browser and the Clarity server
• This third-party software comes into the picture when 'Use SSO' flag is set in the app service configurations, in the NSA.

Resolution

Make appropriate changes in the third-party software to not manipulate headers that are part of the Clarity HTTP traffic.
