A checklist of important considerations when upgrading GemFire

Environment

Tanzu GemFire from 9.x to 10.x 

Resolution

Test the upgrade procedures in the test environment before upgrading the production environment.

Resolve any issues with class loader isolation, so that you will not run with class loader isolation disabled in production.

Take backups, especially if you have disk stores and wish to upgrade to segmented for increased performance. Without a backup, upgrading a disk store cannot be undone.

Read the upgrade documentation and understand before proceeding with upgrades.
