Issue/Introduction

Following an upgrade from v21 to v24, the Automation Engine Work Processes (WPs) reach 100% utilization

This happens randomly and a warm start temporarily fixes it.

Environment

Automation Engine 24.4.1

Cause

WPs spike to 100% utilization following a warm start in version 24.4.1

Resolution

Workaround: Performing a warm start temporarily fixes the issue, though it may return after subsequent warm starts.

Through a ip=2 db=3/4 trace on the WPs and CPs, the cause was a 'GETFILE' that can be found linked to a v21 based agent.

After upgrading that agent to v24, the issue was resolved.
