Issue/Introduction

SpanVA backup failure occurs if remote execution on the SFTP server is not available.

Resolution

SpanVA backup SFTP process runs uname to build the ftp command based on the OS.  Engineering is aware some customers may have remote execution disabled on the SFTP server and would fail the uname lookup. Enabling remote execution would resolve the issue.

Please contact support if your SFTP backup process is affected by remote execution being disabled.
