Issue/Introduction

Creating an NSX segment from NSX GUI results in the creation of both NSX segment and a virtual port group on two different clusters with two different host switches

Environment

3.2.3.1

Cause

The two ESXi clusters are NSX prepared with two different transport node profiles with different switches (one with NVDS and another with VDS) but configured with same transport zone, so when a segment is created from NSX GUI it creates both an NSX segment on NVDS and port group (DVPG) on VDS as the span of segment realization is determined by transport zone

Resolution

Create individual or unique transport zone for each cluster in such cases of both NVDS and VDS deployments on two different clusters on a datacenter as the span of segment realization is determined by the transport zone when the hosts are prepared for NSX
