SMG 10.8 10.9
This alert usually indicates that one of the message queues (inbound, outbound, or delivery) has reached the configured limit. Please follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue:
Step 1: Identify Which Queue Has Reached the Limit
Go to Status > Hosts > Message Queues tab.
Check which queue (inbound, outbound, or delivery) has reached or exceeded the limit.
Step 2: Review and Clean Up the Affected Queue
Go to Status > Message Queues.
Select the affected scanner.
Select the affected queue.
From the List drop-down menu, select All.
Click Display Filter.
Filter out unnecessary emails and delete as many as possible to reduce the queue size.
Step 3: Increase the Maximum Queue Limit (If Needed)
If the queue regularly reaches the limit, you may increase the maximum number of messages allowed:
Go to Administration > Configuration > Edit Host > SMTP tab > Advanced Settings.
Increase the value for Maximum number of messages in queue for the affected queue.
Step 4: Adjust the Alert Threshold (If Needed)
To increase the alert limit:
Go to Administration > Settings > Alerts.
Increase the value for Message Queues to a higher number than 1 GB.
