Widget type list (top 10 results) shows random results and not the top 10 results (NX)

Issue/Introduction

When creating a dashboard using a custom report and selecting the widget type as “List (Top 10 results)”, it does not display the top 10 records.
Instead, it shows seemingly random entries.

Resolution

The widget simply displays the first 10 rows from the underlying report, in exactly the same order as they appear there.
If you need a specific “Top 10” ordering, please first apply the required sort in the report itself; the dashboard will then reflect that order for its 10 rows.
