Environment

VCF Automation 9.X

Cause

The version mismatch between VCF Operations and Fleet Management was caused by an incorrect upgrade sequence. As a result, Fleet Management attempts to pull a different package image (Kind).

Resolution

Fleet Manager and VCF Operations must be on the same version.
A version mismatch can cause upgrade issues.

Upgrade Sequence
Follow the recommended update sequence for VCF 9.0 and compatible VMware products.

Available Options

Option 1:
Do not upgrade Fleet Manager to a version higher than VCF Operations. Keep both on the same version.

Option 2:
Deploy a new VCF Installer instance.
Ensure Fleet Manager and VCF Operations are on the same version.
Import Aria Automation 8.18.x and retry the upgrade.
