Issue/Introduction

The NSK agent fails to authenticate with the Automation Engine and terminates immediately after startup․​​​​​​​‍

ERROR MESSAGE: "U00003359 Agent '[AgentName]' uses an incorrect Company Key" "U00003354 Unencrypted message of '[AgentName]' is not permitted"

SYMPTOMS:

  • Agent logs on briefly but is immediately terminated by the server

  • Empty keystore file is repeatedly created after deletion

  • Agent fails to process keys in a non-TLS environment

CONTEXT: Occurs consistently during every startup attempt of a new NSK agent installation

IMPACT: Prevents agent connection and job execution in the environment

 

Environment

 

  • OS: HP NonStop L25․02  

  • Product: Automic Automation Engine 24․4․2+hf․3

  • Component: NSK Agent 24․4․2+build․1

  • Configuration: Non-TLS environment, LOCAL authentication

 

Cause

The agent config file did not contain the  section [AUTHORIZATION]  

Authentication fails because the [AUTHORIZATION] section is missing or not interpreted correctly in the configuration file, causing the company key to become invalid․ 

Resolution

PREREQUISITES:

  • Administrator access to the Tandem server

  • Access to Client 0 in the Automation Engine

 

STEPS:

VERIFY AGENT CONFIGURATION FILE

Ensure the configuration file contains the correct authorization section and initial package definition
