CF CLI does not auto-upgrade when logging into Tanzu Hub

Issue/Introduction
Starting with TPCF 10.2, the CF CLI has introduced the auto upgrade feature.
This check is made when first connecting to an env, or else 24 hours after the last check.
Currently, CLI users who log in to Tanzu Hub do not receive automatic updates, as the current update mechanism depends on connecting via TPCF.

Resolution
Today the auto-upgrade is only officially supported when you login to a foundation with cf login. Login to Hub does not do the auto-upgrade.
This is being worked on by R&D, and will be included in a future release of Tanzu Hub. Please keep an eye on the release notes for this:
