Issue/Introduction

The "Edit" button option for NCM Sync Tasks is unavailable․

Administrators and Super Users are unable to modify existing Sync Tasks․

Status remains active, but configurations appear locked․

This occurs when attempting to modify device memberships or task parameters for existing NCM Sync Tasks within the OneClick Webapp or Thick Client․

 

Cause

Engineering has confirmed that the source code does not provide an option to edit Sync Tasks via the UI by design․

Resolution

MANAGE DEVICE MEMBERSHIP VIA GLOBAL COLLECTIONS:

Device lists for Sync Tasks are managed through Global Collection participation rather than the Task editor․

Path: Explorer Tab > Global Collections

Identify the Global Collection associated with the Sync Task and update its membership rules or manually add/remove devices to the GC․

MODIFY TASK ATTRIBUTES:

While the "Edit" UI is disabled, certain task parameters can still be adjusted through the Attributes tab․

Select the Sync Task > Click the Attributes tab in the Component Detail panel․
