Issue/Introduction

One or more vCenters, have the Workload CPU KPI in Aria Operations exceeding 100%, what does the Workload CPU metric represents and what it corresponding to in terms of calculation logic or resource utilization?

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.18.x

VMware vCenter Server 8.x

Resolution

VMware Aria Operations (formerly vRealize Operations) is reports data fed from the vCenter integrations.

CPU|Demand (%) is an indicator of the overall demand for CPU resources by the workloads in the cluster. It shows the percentage of CPU resources that all the virtual machines might use if there were no CPU contention or CPU limits set.

It represents the average active CPU load in the past five minutes.

And the 100% on VMs are expected behavior
