Issue/Introduction

• The vSphere Supervisor Adapter in VCF Operations is in warning status.

•  "Supervisor adaptor is not on a Cloud Proxy, please move the adapter to a Cloud Proxy" is seen when hovering the cursor over the Warning icon

Environment

VCF Operations 9.0.x

Cause

The VMware Supervisor Adapter requires a cloud proxy appliance for functionality.

Resolution

If there are no cloud proxies in the VCF Operations cluster

1. Use the steps in the following documentation to deploy a new cloud proxy

   • Manual: Configuring Cloud Proxies in VCF Operations

   • Using Fleet Management Scale Out: Add Nodes to VCF Operations

2. Use the steps below to assign the Supervisor Adapter to a cloud proxy

If there is an existing cloud proxy in the VCF Operations cluster

1. Navigate to Administration > Integrations and expand the vSphere Supervisor category

2. Click the vertical 3 dots button next to the Supervisor Adapter and select Edit

3. Use the Collector / Group dropdown to select a cloud proxy or one of the cloud proxy collector groups

4. Click Validate Connection and verify "Test connection successful" is received

5. Click Save
