Issue/Introduction

When trying to Protect the VM's it fails with Operation Failed

Operation Error: Subscription is not available or has expired. Unable to protect VM '####' with IO filter 'vmwarelwd' for device with key '2000' as this action requires active subscription.
Operation ID: ###-###-###-###-### even though VMware Live recovery has only one solution user for SRM and correct License is applied to SRM solution user

Environment

VMware Live Recovery 9.0.4

Cause

VMware Live site recovery does not recognize the VM's using LWD filter .When using vSAN Data Protection and VMware Live Site Recovery and replicating across the site ACC (Advance Cyber Compliance) license is required. If traditional Site Recovery License is used SRM protection groups will not be able to protect the VM's which are already protected by vSAN Data Protection.

Resolution

Unprotect the VM's from vSAN Data Protection and then protect the VM's using VMware Live recovery Protection group
