VCF Operations/Automation (formerly VMware Aria Suite) VMware Live Recovery

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading VMware Live Site Recovery (LSR) to version 9.0.5, Site Recovery Manager (SRM) sites may no longer be visible or available for selection within the VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1 interface. This issue typically occurs when the environment continues to use an older version of the Orchestrator Plug-in for VMware Live Site Recovery.

Symptoms include:

  • SRM Sites are missing from the inventory or selection views in Aria Automation.

Environment

  • VMware Aria Automation: 8.18.1

  • VMware Live Site Recovery (LSR): 9.0.5

  • Orchestrator Plug-in for VMware Live Site Recovery: 9.0.1

Cause

The issue is caused by a version incompatibility between the upgraded VMware Live Site Recovery server (9.0.5) and the legacy Orchestrator Plug-in (9.0.1).

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must upgrade the Orchestrator Plug-in to a compatible version.

  1. Download the VMware Cloud Foundation Orchestrator Plug-in for VMware Live Site Recovery version 9.0.4.

  2. Delete the current SRM plugin.

  3. Install the new SRM plugin.

  4. Verify that the SRM sites are now visible within the Aria Automation Orchestrator inventory.
