• Host tunnels in Clusters Status showing degraded

  

• Tunnel Endpoint status showing Down between source and destination IP on View Details

  

• Tunnels to the NSX Edges are down

  

• vmkping from Host Transport Node TEP to Edge Node TEP fails

  

Environment

• VMware NSX
• vSphere ESXi

Cause

• The VLAN used for the TEP is not trunked in some switchports on the TOR switch

Resolution

• Add the needed VLAN to the trunked list on the switchport facing the host uplinks
